For thousands of years, the land now known as New Brunswick has been home to the ancestors of the Wolastoqey people, a rich history etched into every landscape. We believe there are more ancient Indigenous sites across New Brunswick, yet to be formally recognized, holding invaluable historical and cultural significance.

By leveraging historical accounts, cultural knowledge, and modern data analysis, we can work together to uncover and document these sacred places. Canada's rapid economic development, while essential, poses a risk to these unrecorded sites. We need to find them before they are inadvertently disturbed or exploited.

Protecting these sites is not just about preserving the past; it's about honoring Indigenous heritage, fostering reconciliation, and ensuring these sacred places endure for future generations.
